On Friday, 13th February 2026, the Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre organised an engaging science audio-visual presentation on the topic The Sun. The session presented by resource person Mr. Partha Ghosh covered a wide range of fascinating subjects, including the measurement and temperature of the Sun, the colours of stars, the Sun’s inner structure and elements, solar energy, sunspots, different types of stars, aurora lights, the birth and death of stars, black holes, and what lies beyond. The presentation was thoughtfully designed to make these complex concepts accessible and interesting for students. The audience comprised students from Classes 6 to 10, along with teachers and other interested participants. Events such as this reflect the spirit of Sri Aurobindo’s insight that to sustain students’ attention in their studies, lessons must be made engaging and inspiring.
