Siddhi Day observed – 24th November 2025

24th November — Siddhi Day is a deeply significant day for all devotees of Sri Aurobindo. It marks the descent of the Overmental Consciousness into the physical world — an event after which Sri Aurobindo withdrew to pursue his intense sadhana aimed at bringing down the Supramental Consciousness upon earth. From this day onward, the Mother assumed responsibility for the administration and guidance of the Ashram. The occasion was observed on the date in 2025 at Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre with an evening talk by Shri Goutom Banerjee, eminent speaker and member of the Board of Trustees at Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre. He spoke on the significance of Siddhi Day and its relevance in our lives. There was a presentation on “how to keep the mind still” by Smt. Saswati Bhattacharya, who has been working on the topic in contact with Auroville. The session ended with a devotional song by Smt. Anjali Ganguly. The workers and devotees attended the programme with devotion and sincerity. As every year, the Sri Aurobindo Sakti Centre premises were beautifully illuminated with lamps to mark the sacred day.
